Hi and welcome to my blog. My name is Kat, and I have spent decades travelling all over the world. I tended to spend most of my time in cities, and whether I was standing in King's Cross or Times Square, I loved looking at the signs towering above me. I loved how companies used the same branding in NYC as Cairo and how no matter where I was, I always saw the icons of western civilisation. Now, that I'm at home, I spend a lot of time thinking about what makes a brand or a sign iconic, and it's something I think anyone designing a sign should think about.
